Packaging of baubles, LEDs, batteries and PVC pipe
30 x 20 x 24 cm each piece
Installation presented in a dark room, where lamps made of PVC pipes project the bottom of biscuit or Maria cookie bags, a popular food whose packaging is transparent and devoid of any written information. The images revealed by an LED that projects the shadows and contours of these packages unveil something: the discovery of a world, a strange organism contained at the bottom of a cookie package. Abyssal Plastic refers to images that are both cosmic and microscopic, yet carry a certain mystery in a play of shapes that are simultaneously organic and geometric, formed by the folds of plastic. Each lamp reveals a hidden world at the bottom of a cookie package or, even, the underworld of plastic, a discarded material that makes up large garbage islands in the planet's oceans. Something strange in the depths of the sea or the black space of the universe.
