Book containing the names of stars that no longer emit light, specifically white dwarfs. The catalogue includes information about these celestial bodies such as equatorial and galactic coordinates, distance from Earth, and the stars’ names printed in lowercase letters to be read with a magnifying glass. Meia-luz is a work in progress archive accompanying a series of charcoal sculptures inspired by speculation about the shapes of these stars that no longer emit light. This collection aims to intersect the light, its travel time to Earth, and data stored in astronomical research centers’ databases, as well as images produced by telescopes and probes. Reading this book evokes the process of observing something we can no longer reach with our own eyes and that touches us through time.
