Series of drawings made on wooden panels with cold encaustic. Drawings made with knives, gouges, forks, and other tools, where I remove wax shavings spread over wooden panels. The drawings are made in the car during daily trips while I observe trucks, tractors, and excavators on the road or at construction sites. The title of the series, DRIFT, referring to the movement of cars braking and skidding on the track at high speed, points to the constitutive act of this drawing, created through the sliding and scraping of a knife over the panel's surface.
